These describe our future vision, the technological advancements we aim to make that will be essential to our present and future, and the initiatives we intend to take.
Basic policies

1.We will focus Our business activities and project implementation on gaining more cost-competitive results with cleaner outputs, shifting to gas as the main energy source, and realizing early project development.

2.To gain a competitive edge and reduce risk, we will use the cutting-edge technology acquired via our Oil and gas development business for environmentally friendly projects including carbon dioxide capture and storage, geothermal power generation, and offshore wind power.

3.We will recognize, generate, and commercialize innovative and practical technologies that support decarbonization, such as those linked to Hydrogen and ammonia production, methanation, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, and CO2 capture from combustion exhausts and directly from the air (DAC).

4.The INPEX Research Hub for Energy Transformation (I-RHEX), which serves as a hub for industry-government-academia networks involved in the development and advancement of clean energy technologies, will be strengthened, and expanded to carry out the policies in sections 2 and 3.

5.To support the above four items, we will strengthen the digital foundations, increase efficiency and create new value.

6.To implement the above five items, we will recruit and nurture project personnel, specialized engineers, and research and development personnel who possess sound judgment, on-site capabilities and execution abilities.
