Since October 2000, INPEX has participated in the natural gas development project in the SK10 block offshore Sarawak, Malaysia, through JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Malaysia) Limited. In the block, we commenced natural gas production from the Helang Gas Field in 2003, followed by production at the B11 Gas Field (2018) and the Layang Oil and Gas Field (natural gas in 2017 and crude oil in 2019). The natural gas produced in the block is transported via subsea pipeline to a liquefaction plant in Bintulu, where it is used as feedstock for LNG production.
