INPEX is engaged in a geothermal power project in Shibetsu Town, Hokkaido. The project targets the Sempo area northwest of Mt. Musadake in the western part of Shibetsu Town. In 2020, we were chosen in the "Selection of Operators for the Musadake Region Geothermal Survey" process initiated by Shibetsu Town and have since carried out comprehensive exploration drilling. Through conducting surface surveys and geophysical exploration work, we have confirmed the presence of significant geothermal resources, supported by drilling evaluations at adjacent sites. Further exploratory drilling operations are being conducted to confirm the scale of the geothermal resources in this area.
